Jonathan Jurow, LMHC
Hi! I’m a licensed mental health counselor working in Brookline, MA. I provide in-person and Zoom therapy to individuals and couples.
When working with individuals, my practice is grounded in psychodynamic and humanistic theories, especially as they bear on attachment styles, relationship dynamics, the cultivation and creation of meaning, and the ways in which people build and maintain their identities. I hold space for a variety of identities and strategies for navigating the social world. Additionally, I incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions from the worlds of CBT and Motivational Interviewing, to help people develop and maintain behaviors that support the daunting work of getting to know themselves and getting control of their lives. I am particularly experienced in helping people with concerns about their substance use and in helping people with concerns about the stability, sustainability, and satisfaction of their significant relationships
When working with couples, I typically employ the Gottman Method, and I have completed Level I Gottman training.
